Xavi: Barcelona are in for a tough time in the Champions League
The experienced midfielder has accepted that his side will have to go through some adversity as they hunt for European glory this season
Barcelona midfielder Xavi has accepted that his side are going to experience hard times as they go in search of the Champions League title.

The Blaugrana reached the last eight with a 4-1 aggregate victory over Manchester City, but were made to work hard for a 2-1 victory over Manuel Pellegrini's side during Wednesday's Camp Nou leg.

And the veteran midfielder believes his side have begun to recapture some of their best form, which will prove crucial as they look to mount a challenge for Europe's top prize.

"This is the Champions League and we know that at times we're going to have a hard time," he told the club's official website.

"I believe that we dominated the match, the sensations are good and the objective was to reach the quarter-finals - here we are, pleased with our victory.

"Our rivals also play, but we tried to have the ball and play our football.

"The coach is the one who decides how to play, and we have a big team and we're playing well. We've recovered our form.

"The fans were sensational and the atmosphere was extraordinary."

Norwich's £5m striker Gary Hooper is in contention to make his debut despite having a bruised shin.Another summer signing, Leroy Fer, is suspended and Anthony Pilkington and Sebastien Bassong both miss out with knee injuries.Everton's Marouane Fellaini proved his fitness by playing 90 minutes for Belgium in midweek.Darron Gibson is doubtful, while Tony Hibbert, Antolin Alcaraz and Magaye Gueye are all definitely out.

Team News:
After 11 years it's going to be strange commentating on Everton and not seeing David Moyes' brooding presence on the touchline, overseeing what was always a resilient and competitive team. But his departure was inevitable and the only surprise for many was that it didn't happen sooner.
I don't doubt there'll be a more open attacking style of play under Roberto Martinez, but the new manager has his work cut out trying to equal last season's sixth place in the table when you look at the other teams out there.
Martinez stuck to his philosophy at Wigan and while it brought them an unforgettable FA Cup win over Manchester City and they played some attractive football, they were also relegated to the Championship.
Everton's squad remains intact, though, with Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines still at the club despite interest from elsewhere. The only regular to leave has been Phil Neville, who retired from playing and is back with Manchester United on Moyes' coaching staff.
On paper, Norwich looked safe enough in 11th place in May, but the reality was they were in real danger of relegation as late as April and only three wins from the last five games lifted them clear.
They claimed half their points total for the whole season in a purple patch between October and December, struggled to score goals and finished with the third worst away record in the division after QPR and Reading.
Enough of the doom and gloom though, because Chris Hughton has spent money this summer and brought in some exciting attacking players which may hint at a different, more entertaining emphasis this season.
The club transfer record was smashed to sign Ricky van Wolfswinkel at £8.5m, fellow forward Gary Hooper arrived from Celtic for £5m and highly promising 19-year-old winger Nathan Redmond from Birmingham City could make an impact.
One thing we do know is that Norwich are a tough team to play on their own ground. Manchester United, Arsenal and this weekend's opponents Everton were among those to come a cropper at Carrow Road last season, with Everton losing after conceding two late goals.

Head-to-head
Norwich have lost only one of their six Premier League home games against Everton.
Norwich's record win in the Premier League was a 5-1 victory over Everton at Goodison Park in September 1993.
The Canaries are undefeated in four matches against Everton since their return to the Premier League (one win, three draws).
In total, Everton have won just three of their 12 Premier League matches with Norwich.

Norwich
Norwich have not won their opening league game in any of the last 10 seasons (D5, L5) and have not won their opening game in the top flight since the first ever Premier League season in 1992-93, when they triumphed 4-2 at Arsenal.
Chris Hughton's side scored a higher proportion of their goals via headers (32 percent) than any other club in the top flight last season.
Robert Snodgrass scored three goals from direct free-kicks in the Premier League last season. The last player to score more in a single league season was Cristiano Ronaldo with four in 2008-09.

Everton
Everton have lost seven of their last 10 opening Premier League games of the season.
The Toffees have gone eight Premier League away games without a win.
Leighton Baines created 116 goal scoring chances last season, which was 12 more than any one else in the top flight. He was the only outfield player to complete every minute (3,420) of every match. He is also the only player to have taken 10 (or more) penalties in the Premier League and maintained a 100% success rate.

Wigan v Newcastle Live Stream Barclays Premier League Preview 17 March 2013

Match Preview: Sunday,17 March 2013, One of the important match Wigan v Newcastle of Barclays Premier League HD Quality Live Wigan v Newcastle streaming is available here.Wigan v Newcastle Live Stream online Barclays Premier League Video Free The match will take plcae at DW Stadium on 3/17/13 Preview Pictures and Wallpapers its mean all things are available in my blog please see and check here for latest things. Wigan are undoubtedly an enigma, but deciphering when they are most likely to look ordinary doesn't require the finest analytical minds that Bletchley Park had to offer. A meagre two wins, against West Ham and Reading, and 10 points from 14 games at the DW Stadium represents the worst home record in England's top five divisions. In fact, the Latics have won fewer than a quarter of their home matches over the last three seasons. The reasons can be debated (although, for starters, the ever-present swathe of empty seats is hardly conducive to raucous vocal support), but the facts are stark. So Wigan will host Newcastle on Sunday in the bottom three, having dropped back into the relegation places last weekend just hours after reaching their first FA Cup semi-final with an eye-catching 3-0 win at Everton. Incidentally, every one of their six victories in cup competitions this season has come away. Newcastle ought to be confident then. Well, maybe not. One away win all season is evidence that Alan Pardew's side do not travel well, though the same cannot be said of the vast French contingent now playing in black and white stripes. There were eight of them on the pitch at one time or another during last weekend's home win over Stoke, and newcomers such as Moussa Sissoko have added some va va voom (there, I said it) to steer them away from the relegation zone. With a nine-point cushion, Pardew is surely right to feel his side are safe now.
No such luck for Wigan, but they have survived far more hopeless-looking situations. And if they go on to win the FA Cup, they're entitled to feel bullet proof - remember, no team has ever lifted the big-eared trophy and suffered relegation in the same season.

Team News:
Wigan forward Callum McManaman is a major doubt to face Newcastle due to the ankle injury he suffered in the FA Cup win at Everton.
Ryo Miyaichi damaged ankle ligaments in that tie and requires surgery.
Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye could miss out with the groin problem that forced his substitution during Thursday's European win over Anzhi.
Shola Ameobi is fit, but Hatem Ben Arfa faces hamstring surgery and will miss the remainder of the season.

Head-to-head
Wigan have won five of their six home meetings with Newcastle in the Premier League. Their only defeat came in January 2011 when Shola Ameobi scored the only goal.
Newcastle are vying to beat Wigan home and away in the same season for the first time. They won the reverse fixture 3-0, with Demba Ba scoring twice after Wigan defender Maynor Figueroa was sent off in the 12th minute.

Wigan
The FA Cup semi-finalists have only managed one win in their last eight league games (W1, D3, L4).
Wigan have the worst home record in the division, with two wins and 10 points from 14 games. They have failed to keep a clean sheet and conceded a league-high 31 goals at home this season.
They are winless in their last seven league games at the DW Stadium since a 3-2 victory over Reading in November.
Paul Scharner is poised to make his 150th league appearance for Wigan.

Newcastle
Newcastle have triumphed in four of their last six league matches, coming from behind to win their last three home games.
Their away record - one win and eight points from 14 matches - is the second worst in the division.
The Magpies have kept only one clean sheet in their last 11 Premier League games.
The last 16 league goals scored by Newcastle have come from overseas players - France (9), Senegal (6) and Argentina (1). James Perch was their last English scorer, against Manchester United on Boxing Day.
Half of Yohan Cabaye's six Premier League goals this season have been scored from outside the penalty area.
