The last time these two sides met was in a pre-season friendly game at the Emirates Stadium in London. PSG thrashed Valencia 3-0. However, Valencia have been unbeaten in nine Champions League home games, winning six of them.
Meanwhile, PSG returned to the knockout stages after eight years. The French giants only dropped points once and conceded the only goal in the defeat to Porto. Carlo Ancellotti's side scored 14 goals in the group stages, only bettered by Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Chelsea.
Valencia striker Roberto Soldado returns to action after serving a ban while Antonio Barragan is suspended. Full-back Aly Cissokho is out with a ankle injury while Jeremy Mathieu is out with an Achilles problem.
Thiago Silva and Thiago Motta will miss the clash due to thigh injuries while David Beckham was not on the 22-man list for the trip to to Valencia.
